A TV Commercial for the Institute of Natural Health in St. Louis, MO
I’m thrilled to share with you a behind-the-scenes look at one of my effective advertising projects to date: the production of the Institute of Natural Health (INH) commercial. This was no ordinary shoot, as it took place outdoors during an incredibly hot and humid day. The conditions were tough, but thanks to meticulous planning, every shot was captured to perfection.
Capturing Attention and Emotions: The advertisement opens with a powerful question: “Do you feel like you are being attacked by an unknown force?” This immediately grabs the viewer’s attention, drawing them into the story. As the narrative unfolds, the emotions intensify, making the viewer empathize with the characters’ struggles. The turning point comes when a helping hand is offered, symbolizing the hope and support that INH provides.
The climax of the advertisement, where the protagonist finds solace and help at INH, is a poignant moment. It’s a visual and emotional journey that resonates with viewers, leaving a lasting impression.
Bringing the Story to Life with Actors: The talented actors played a vital role in bringing the script to life. Their performances were heartfelt and genuine, resonating with anyone who has felt the exhaustion of dealing with an unknown illness. The script, combined with their compelling portrayals, told a story of despair turned into hope—perfectly aligning with INH’s mission.
Braving the Elements: Shooting in the sweltering heat required extensive preparation and a well-thought-out strategy. My pre-production phase involved careful consideration of shot ideas and the video tools needed to bring the vision to life. I knew that the weather would be a significant factor, so executing the shots as quickly as possible ensured no waste of time.
The Final Result: Despite the challenging weather conditions, the final video turned out beautifully. It stands as a testament to the team’s hard work and the power of collaboration. The INH advertisement not only captures the essence of hope but also highlights the commitment to producing high-quality, impactful videos.
